We are proud to have engaged Powder Blue Group Construction as our contractor to build our warehouse, parking and shops. The company was meticulous in the quoting process and displayed a great level of professionalism by explaining the quote to us and advising us of everything that needed to be done.
They also identified that the building levels needed to be adjusted and brought in a surveyor to guide us in this process. They completed the massive excavation process seamlessly. Our building was built from boundary to boundary, and with the new levels the retaining walls had to be adjusted from three meters high to ten meters high. They had to revise the costs and only charged us the cost price for the additional heights. This showed us that they are trustworthy and behave more as partners than as contractors.
They installed all fire lines to the satisfaction of fire inspectors, paraplegic toilets to the municipal codes, parking ramp to the required elevations. They also made concessions for deviations that we did and continuously engaged with the architects, engineers and municipality to ensure that they building was passed. They truly took complete ownership of their project and fulfilled their commitment to us.
They provided a full turnkey solution for us and we look forward to working with them on our new projects!

They made valuable recommendations during the project, which gave me an in-depth insight into the technical aspects of construction. They provided a complete turnkey solution as well as fulfilling the role project managers. They are competitively priced while ensuring that the correct materials are used in all the application processes. They also go the extra mile by making recommendations on aesthetic changes as well as cost saving mechanisms. Their quoting is transparent, accurate and descriptive, which made it easy for me to understand. From excavation to completion, they have shown a sense of ownership of the project, with a senior person always on site to oversee the project.
The building inspectors and bank assessor have continuously expressed their joy with working with Melvin and Matthew. Their management of the various sub-contractors on site is highly commendable. From co-ordinating all the subcontractors to managing their own workforce, these guys have provided a seamless application to the entire project. They are always available and YES they always answer their phones.
The estate manager has also commended them for their adherence to all requirements and their willingness to go the extra mile in ensuring the safety of the estate, other residents and their own staff. I am extremely HAPPY with their work and I look forward to utilizing their service on future projects!
It all started with an internet search for a building contractor, I called Melvin and he came through. He advised me that the first step was to engage a surveyor (to identify my boundary beacons) an engineer (to design the layout of the retaining walls) and an architect (to draw the plan for municipal submissions).
His professionalism and willingness to facilitate all of this without any charge to me, together with him not even knowing if this project was going to be awarded to them, showed me the that they are a sincere company. Melvin explained the entire process to me as simple as possible. I also appreciate that fact the project was completed within the timeframe that we had agreed upon. Due to some unforeseen circumstances I was unavailable for a few weeks, but I was confident that the project was in good hands. They took on total ownership of the project and did all that they said that they would do.
They are extremely pleasant to work with and the quality of work was and is excellent. I would definitely recommend their services to anyone who is looking for a reputable, dependable contractor. Melvin and his team of workers know what they are doing and I can only foresee them growing from strength to strength.
